WHAT IS THE NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is a scheme run by the Australian Government that funds costs associated with disability. The scheme was legislated in 2013 and went into full operation in 2020.

DEVELOPING YOUR FIRST NDIS PLAN

You may have a few questions about developing your first plan. The NDIS understand that every person living with a disability has different needs. They are there to help you develop a plan that you have a voice in and control over. Watch this video for more information on developing your first plan.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR NDIS PLAN

This video explains the different ways NDIS plans can be managed to help you make a decision that is right for you! Once you access the NDIS as a participant, you will need to decide how you would like to manage your NDIS plan. There are three ways that you can manage your plan. Self-management, plan management and NDIA management also known as agency-managed.

CHOOSING & MANAGING YOUR SUPPORTS

You can choose supports from non-NDIS registered providers. This means you don’t have to worry about using the NDIS Portal as you have a partner helping you and ensuring you get the most out of your NDIS plan.
You have the choice and control of Self-Management without the administrative worries
The funding for Plan Management is in addition to other supports.

YOUR PLAN & YOUR BUDGET

As an NDIS participant, you have choice and control over how you manage your NDIS plan. In this video, the NDIS will explain how your NDIS plan is set up and how to spend the funds in your NDIS plan to live the life you want.
